Advanced Material Handling & Intelligent Lifting Solutions:
The ICPH (Integrated Construction and Prefabrication Hub) is a purpose-built facility supporting off-site construction, prefabrication, assembly, and logistics operations, where heavy prefabricated components, structural modules, and plant equipment must be handled efficiently across multiple work zones and floor levels. Due to the high load capacities, multi-level material flow, and stringent safety requirements, robust and precisely engineered lifting systems are critical to the successful operation of such facilities.
Recognising these requirements, HL Builders Materials Pte Ltd appointed Helmsion Engineering to deliver a complete suite of advanced lifting, material transfer, and traffic-controlled overhead crane systems for the ICPH Project.
Engineering Challenge & Solution
Helmsion Engineering was responsible for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the following systems:
Why These Systems Are Critical for ICPH Facilities
Integrated Construction and Prefabrication Hubs require continuous, high-volume movement of heavy components between fabrication, storage, and assembly areas across multiple elevations. The multi-landing material handling hoist with roller deck significantly reduces manual handling and transfer time between floors, while the roller-deck transfer wagons ensure smooth and safe load movement at floor level. The crane traffic management system enhances operational safety by controlling crane travel and lifting sequences, particularly in environments with multiple cranes and overlapping operating zones.
Technical Excellence & Compliance
All systems were engineered, manufactured, and installed in accordance with Singapore Standards (SS 497), FEM classifications, and MOM regulatory requirements. The cranes and hoists were selected to meet the required load capacities, duty classes, and operational frequencies, ensuring safe performance under demanding site conditions.
Advanced features such as smooth speed control, reliable braking systems, and robust structural design ensure precision handling, enhanced safety, and long service life. The solutions provided significantly reduce manual handling risks, improve site productivity, and support efficient plant operations and maintenance.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
Prior to handover, all equipment underwent comprehensive inspection, functional testing, and load testing, verifying full compliance with project specifications and statutory requirements. The systems were successfully commissioned and handed over, ready for immediate operational use.
Project Outcome
The successful completion and handover of the ICPH Project demonstrates Helmsion Engineering’s capability in delivering integrated, intelligent, and high-performance material handling solutions. This project highlights our strength in multi-level material transfer, automated load flow, and safety-driven crane systems for complex infrastructure and industrial facilities.
